Adventure of Grandparenting
Come to our Grundtvig workshop!
Motto: "Every time a child is born, a grandparent is born too."
May 27 – June 2, 2012, Prague, Czech Republic
Target groups: Adults interested in the topic of aging, especially in the topic of active grandparenting: persons interested in active and healthy aging, parenting, grandparenting and raising children; (future) grandparents, representatives of institutions or professionals working with seniors.
What will you learn about?
- Grandparenting and its challenges in today’s Europe: comparing experiences of all participants.
- I am a grandparent, therefore…: active aging, benefits and challenges of aging, role of a grandparent.
- Grandparents, employers and community: how to balance work and grandparenting; active participation in the life of community.
- Grandparents and the parents of their grandchildren: how to cope with new trends of raising children; developmental psychology of childhood; family today; generations living together.
- Grandparents and their grandchildren: spending leisure time with grandchildren; children and ICT; meaningful leisure time; finding out one’s own grandparenting models.
All participants should be able to have a good working knowledge of English.
The number of participants is limited (5 from Czech Republic, 15 from other countries). Selected participants will be notified in April/May 2012. Participants' expenses are covered by the Grundtvig grant.

V květnu dorazí do ČR americký psycholog Bret Stephenson, autor knihy Co dělá z chlapců muže (DharmaGaia 2012), který se zabývá dopadem nepřítomnosti přechodových rituálů v současné společnosti na životy chlapců a mužů.
